You must submit proof your relationship or documentation to establish legal interest in obtaining vital records. Adult adoptees and birth parents are allowed to obtain the adoptees' original birth certificate due to the Colorado Revised Statute 19-5-305. Both the birth parents and adult adoptee are require to complete a consent form to release the original birth certificate from the sealed file.
