Connecticut Adoption Records InformationHow to Contact Connecticut's Adoption Offices Connecticut Dept. Of Children and Families Any adoptee that is at least 18 years old can request information that identifies their birthday. Section 45A-753 of the Connecticut General Statutes may require that the adoptee have a personal interview for approval. The birth family is required to be searched by the adoption agency to get their approval in a written consent for releasing the identifying information. The agency is required to put in at least 10 hours of staff time to find the original birth family. Any adoptee that is at least 18 years old can be searched by the birth parent. Both of the birth parents that were involved in the termination will be required to consent. The Connecticut Adoption Agency is obligated to attempt a search for the adult adoptee in order to receive their written consent. Section 45A-753 of the Connecticut General Statutes require ratings that both birth parents may be required to conduct a personal interview. |
