The New Jersey State Registry is for public agency adoptions through DFYS, BCS, SBCW, or SBCG. Adult adoptees, adoptive parents of a minor child, or birth parents may receive non-identifying information. Identifying information is provided through the New Jersey State Registry. Confidential intermediary services are available through the New Jersey State Registry. An adoptee must petition the court to receive and original birth certificate. You must petition the court that finalized the adoption. Cards and letters may be provided to the registry to be given to the intended party when they register.
