Adult adoptees, 21 or older, birth parents, birth siblings, adoptive parents of a deceased adopted adults and parents and siblings of a deceased birth parent can request non-identifying information in the state of Rhode Island. This is somewhat different than the regulations on non-identifying information in other states. |

An adoptee must petition the court in which the adoption was finalized for an original birth certificate. Identifying information is provided through the Adoption Registry.
