Tennessee adoption records can be located with the following information. Non-identifying information is available in Tennessee for medical purposes. Original adoption records are often harder to locate and open due to the nature of the documents. Most courts seal adoption records at the time of the adoption event and this information is not available to most adoptees until they are adults. In many cases, only non-identifying information is available. |
