Washington adoption records can be located with the following information. Washington allows adult adoptees and adoptive parents of minor children to obtain non-identifying information for medical purposes regarding the birth parents. This information is considered important for adoptive families and adoptees. Identifying information is more difficult to obtain and requires adoption records to be opened. All original birth documents are sealed once an adoption has taken place making it difficult for this information to be obtained without a court order. |
