If you require a record earlier than 1906 you can write to the register of Willis, Orphans Court, in the county seat of the county where the event originally took place.  If you require records from an individual born in Pittsburgh from 1870- 1905 or Allegheny City, which is now a part of Pittsburgh, from 1882- 1905, please contact the office of Biostatistics, Pittsburgh Health Department, City- County building, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.  If you require vital records that occurred in Philadelphia from 1860- 1950, contact Philadelphia Dept. of public Health, Vital Statistics, 401 N. Broad St, Room 942, Philadelphia, PA 19108.
